Ben Godwin grew up in Tampa, Florida. At age seven, he was struck by a car while riding a bicycle. Three inches of bone were irreparably dislodged from his left leg. He was supposed to be a semi-cripple for life, but God intervened and called him to preach. He preached his first sermon at age thirteen and has been involved in full-time ministry since 1987. He traveled as an evangelist from 1987-1994, then served as the assistant pastor of Goodsprings Full Gospel Church (GFGC) for five years. Then, in 1999, he became the senior pastor of GFGC and still serves in that capacity. Ben has shared his miracle testimony and preached in numerous churches, schools, conferences, youth camps, and retreats and has taken mission trips to Canada, Mexico, Honduras, Costa Rica, and Russia. He graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor of Theology from Christian Life School of Theology. He has been a guest on TV programs such as 100 Huntley Street, Atlanta Live, Lesea Live, and Sid Roth's It's Supernatural. He writes a monthly religious column for the Daily Mountain Eagle newspaper which is often posted on Charismamag.com and Barbwire.com and produces a weekly TV program called The Word Workshop. He and his wife, Michelle, work as a team in ministry. They have their three children and live near Birmingham, Alabama.
Read Ben's remarkable, miracle testimony in God's Strategy For Tragedy. He was struck by a car while riding a bicycle at age seven. The collision dislodged three inches of bone from his left lower leg. After eighteen days in the hospital and three operations, he began third grade in a wheelchair. Doctors planned bone graft surgery and told his parents that he would be semi-crippled the rest of his life. Then God intervened—the bone was restored by a creative miracle. Ever since, he has enjoyed a “miracle walk on a miracle leg serving in a miracle ministry.” Read this riveting, true story documented with x-rays, medical reports, and photos.
Prayer is the key to the heart of God that unlocks the door to all the resources of heaven. It enables us to tap into a supernatural power source when human effort is insufficient. The simple act of talking to God is our main method of maintaining a vibrant relationship with our Maker. Prayer is the most important, and probably the most neglected, activity of the Christian and the church. Reignite your passion to pray with this book and rediscover how history proves God moves when His people pray.
The Bible is a book of redemption. It tells how God took a huge negative (the fall of man) and turned it into a powerful positive (the plan of salvation). The Bible is filled with stories about the redemption of individuals—how God took people’s messed up lives and turned them around. Each chapter is another “file” proving this truth. This book illustrates how God is a Master at bringing good out of bad situations.
