About Ben Godwin

Ben Godwin grew up in Tampa, Florida. At age seven, he was struck by a car while riding a bicycle. Three inches of bone were irreparably dislodged from his left leg. He was supposed to be a semi-cripple for life, but God intervened and called him to preach. He preached his first sermon at age thirteen and has been involved in full-time ministry since 1987.

Pastor

Ben  traveled as an evangelist from 1987-1994, then served as the assistant pastor of Goodsprings Full Gospel Church (GFGC) for five years. Then, in 1999, he became the senior pastor of GFGC and still serves in that capacity. Ben has shared his miracle testimony and preached in numerous churches, schools, conferences, youth camps, and retreats and has taken mission trips to Canada, Mexico, Honduras, Costa Rica, and Russia. Ben graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor of Theology from Christian Life School of Theology.

Ben Godwin has been a guest on TV programs such as 100 Huntley Street, Atlanta Live, Lesea Live, and Sid Roth’s It’s Supernatural. He writes a monthly religious column for the Daily Mountain Eagle newspaper which is often posted at Charismamag.com and produces a weekly TV program called The Word Workshop.

Ben has authored numerous articles and six books including his miracle testimony book God’s Strategy for Tragedy, A Practical Pattern for Prayer, The Redemption Files, A Pilgrim’s Perspective, and Heaven’s Heroes. His latest book is A Treasury of Timeless Truths.

Godwin Family

Ben and his wife, Michelle, work as a team in ministry. They have three children and live near Birmingham, Alabama.
